What you need


  1. Your Bell Mail email address
  2. Your password
  3. Your incoming mail server address (POP): pophm.sympatico.ca
  4. Your outgoing mail server address (SMTP): smtphm.sympatico.ca

  1. Select the Tools menu
  1. Select the Accounts menu item

  2. Select the Mail menu item

  1. Enter your Display name in the box. When you send an email your Display Name is used to identify you as the sender.
  2. Click the Next button

  1. Enter your Bell Mail email address in the E-mail address box.
  2. Click the Next button

  1. Enter your Incoming mail (POP3) server (pophm.sympatico.ca) in the box.
  2. Enter your Outgoing email server (SMTP) (smtphm.sympatico.ca) in the box.
  3. Click the Next button

  1. Enter your email address in the Account name box.
  2. Enter your password in the Password box.
  3. Click the Next button

  1. Click the Finish button
  2. Click the Properties button

  1. Select the Servers tab
  2. Click the My server requires authentication check box.
  3. Click the Settings button

  1. Ensure that the Use same settings as my incoming mail server radio button is selected.
  2. Click the OK button

  1. Select the Connection tab
  2. Click the Always connect to this account using check box.
  3. Ensure that Local Area Network is selected in the drop-down menu.

  1. Select the Advanced tab
  2. Click the This server requires a secure connection (SSL) check box.
  3. Select the Incoming mail (POP3) box and delete the number 110.
  4. Enter the number 995
  5. Click the This server requires a secure connection (SSL) check box.
  6. Set the Server Timeouts slider bar to 5 minutes.
  7. Click the OK button
